The Food
The menus will be discussed prior to the function. Please also see menu options for weddings (below). Any special dietary requirements will be catered for. We do however charge a surcharge of R180, 00 per plate for any outside catering done for the function. This includes Halaal and kosher catering.

The Beverages
The beverage requirements for the function will be discussed with you prior to the function, and purchased specifically to your budget. We have a fantastic selection of South African wines. All beverages must be supplied by Plettenberg Park.
THE CEREMONY
The different options range from either a traditional church ceremony to a ceremony at the hotel and even a variety of unique outdoor venues. We can recommend the following:
Traditional Church
A variety of churches ranging from Anglican, Methodist, Catholic and more is situated in the village of Plettenberg Bay. We will gladly assist in arranging the perfect church venue and minister.
Cliff Top
A unique venue for a ceremony in a natural environment. Situated about 300 metres from the hotel on a cliff top with 180 degree views of the Indian Ocean situated 50 metres below, the hotel in the distance and a Fijnbosch reserve behind you. This venue is suitable for ceremonies of no more than 10 – 20 people. This venue is not available for use during the winter months of April through August. A venue hire of R2500.00 is applicable here.
Sundeck
In front of the main lounge area of the hotel. Stunning views with the modern fresh feel of the hotel behind you. Easily accessible and ideal for groups up to 70.
Private Beach
The private beach situated on the edge of the ocean and rocky coast. Suitable for groups up to 30 people. This option cannot be considered during the South African winter months of April through August. A venue hire of R5000.00 is applicable here.
THE RECEPTION
A variety of themes, menus, music and colours can be combined to create an ambiance that will leave an unforgettable memory of simplistic style and elegance expected of an occasion of such calibre.
All function equipment, including crockery, cutlery, tables and chairs, necessary for the function is hired in for functions over 20 guests. This cost is passed to you, the client. A detailed breakdown is given according to requirement and budget. Please note the hotel does not cater for functions exceeding 70 guests.
The areas available to functions vary according to the number of persons attending the function.
Pool Courtyard
An outdoor swimming pool and surrounding courtyard area is transformed into an elegant reception venue catering for a maximum of 70 guests. The entire pool area is covered by a custom made “Stretch Tent” that is hired from a tent company. Should you wish to have a dance floor, that would also need to be hired. We make use of an outside company for this use. This cost is passed to you, the client. A detailed breakdown is given according to requirement and budget. Venue hire for this area is R10 000, 00 should the guest list be over 20 guests.
Restaurant/Lounge
Ideal for smaller groups of up to 50 - 70 people. Seating is traditionally done using two long banqueting tables. Should you want to utilise round table, the venue size then drops to only 50 people. A dance floor and bar area are situated just outside of the reception area sheltered beneath a “Stretch Tent”. Venue hire for this area is R8500,00 should the guest list be over 20 guests
